Hi Phpfox,

How did bodyboarder.com get such a small copyright in their source?

as opposed to:

<!-- #####################################

blah.com VERSION 1.04
POWERED BY PHPFOX A REALITY FOX CREATION

##################################### //-->

This really takes away from the branding of a site. The user will instantly know (or soon find out) it's a cookie-cutter site.

I'd like to do one of the following:

1. Have a smaller copyright like bodyboarder.com
2. Move the copyright to the middle or bottom of the source, rather than top
3. Somehow prevent users from viewing the source?
4. Pay Phpfox to have the option to remove it.

Please let me know my options, as I would like to respect your TOS.

Thanks,

Masao

I think its best to email support regarding this matter. Im not to sure they will set something up like this, but you never know.

Maybe they would go for having a smaller copyright like bodyboarder.com,
cause i do agree its kinda huge.

I also think their should be a option to remove the to copyright for a certain extra fee would be good.

bodyboarder.com is using HOTFOX source, which is a different project from PHPFOX. Last i heard the one who created HOTFOX ( natio ) sold off the source rights for that script.

If you want to prevent users from viewing source, you could always use javascript, but there is always a way around this: if a user uses firefox or has a little common sense. :) so maybe not the best way to work around that.

interesting. I thought this forum was support. I've already sent an email, but I've noticed I get a faster response through the forum. :)

Content visible to registered users only.

I have already paid for copyright removal myself and this is still in the source.

The copyright will be removed from the top part of the html source in the upcoming version (1.06).

At the moment the branding option only removes the "powered by phpfox" tag located at the bottom of the script that is visible to all users:
