Setting the Time

Is there somewhere I can go to change the time on the site? I had a couple of comments from some members that asked if this could be set to EST time. They post a comment in the forums or where the time shows and it's about 6 hours ahead of us.

Also, have you thought about adding an Instant message feature to this script? I have seen this offered on other sites like this. They made it so you could only IM one person at a time.....I'm sure this is a lot of work but just thought I'd ask... :)

Yes time can be changed with php to set the default time for the site. One of the items on our update list is to have time zones were a member can change the time zone once there logged in, so all time posted on the site will be set to there timezone, but in the mean time would you like to set the time zone to a default time for every one else?

Yes were looking into having a private im chat connected to a users profile, right now the chat room, offers a private IM,
you just need to click on a username on the right panel of the chat room and youll find extra links to interact with the other user. Which one of the options (Private Message) is to have a private chat with a user. Options also include file sharing
from user to user.

We will try to rebuild some parts of the chat so in the future we can add a link on profiles that go go direct to a private IM with a user. You can give this a try in the meantime, but i think you might have to inform users on how to use the private IM in the chat, cause they might not know just yet.

Thanks for the info. As for changing the time now, I'll just wait for the update..No hurry on that at all. :)
