seo mod rewrite for phpbb

can i use the seo mod rewrite that creates forums pages like:

name-of page-vf1.html

or will this mess up integration?

I was also wondering about this. What I would like to do is install a phpbb mod that would remove the session ids, which would make my forums more SEO friendly. Has anyone who has phpbb intergrated in phpfox used such a modification? Or can anyone us whether this kind of change would mess with the forum intergration?
