Site Locked out

Hey how do i get back into mysite if it has locked everyone out.

I had the site locked for admin use only then my browser crashed and now when i go back to the site it gives me the default.php page saying will be back soon?

You will have to type it in your browser direct like so:

http://www.yoursite.com/admin/

That will send you to the admin login page, which is the only page on the site that isnt shut down once your run the shut down mode. Then simply login with your admin username and password.

For some reason, my site locked me out and went to the "under construction" page for about 10 minutes. I wasn't able to access the admin page at that time. I did not lock the site for admin use in the admin section...it just did it on its own. Any clues as to why this might happen?

Hi,

Yes this is a automated response when your Hosts Mysql/httpd Server is offline.
So intead of getting the ugly Fatal Error your users will get the "Under Construction" page so it looks a bit nicer. During this time you can contact your host and inform them that their mysql server is offline and if they can restart their server.

Wow...thanks for the really fast response. I've been having some problems with my host/server so that makes sense.
